Hikurangi Community Shuttle

Need a Lift into Whangārei?

Whether it’s a medical appointment, a shopping trip, or just a few errands around town, the Hikurangi Community Shuttle is here to help.

Running on Mondays and Wednesdays (subject to bookings), the shuttle provides an easy and reliable way for Hikurangi locals to get into Whangārei. Simply book at least 24 hours in advance, and our volunteer drivers will do their best to get you where you need to be.

The service is coordinated through Friendship House and is made possible by a wonderful team of local volunteers. It’s ideal for anyone who doesn’t drive, has limited transport options, or would simply appreciate a helping hand getting into town.

Where possible, you’ll be collected from your home within the Hikurangi area and dropped off at your destination in Whangārei.

A small koha towards fuel is always appreciated and helps keep this valuable community service on the road for everyone.
