In this week’s Meet Your Neighbour, Dallas Gurney from Whananaki FM sits down with local officers “Rado” and “Smiley” (Greg and Leon) from Hikurangi Police Station. They share stories of growing up, life before the blue uniform, and the unique challenges and rewards of policing the Whananaki community.
These two embody the spirit of rural policing, always out on the beat and connecting with the community. If they inspire you to join the NZ Police, call 0800 NEW COPS. Thanks to Rado and Smiley for taking the time to chat!
